I’ll admit that I’m a little obsessed with Alex & Sierra @AlexandSierra3 on The X Factor. When they said they were going to sing a Sara Bareilles‘ @SaraBareilles song I somehow instantly knew ‘Gravity’ was going to be that song! Keep your eyes peeled for a full blog post on this endearing, over the top talented duo in the near future but for today I’ll thank them for reminding me of these lyrics:
I live here on my knees as I try to make you see that you’re everything I think I need here on the ground.
But you’re neither friend nor foe though I can’t seem to let you go.
The one thing that I still know is that you’re keeping me down.
You’re keeping me down, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
You’re on to me, on to me, and all over…
Something always brings me back to you.
It never takes too long.”
Click on the lyrics above to see Alex & Sierra’s beautiful rendition. I wonder if Sara liked the version as much as I did? I personally loved the addition of a male’s voice.
This song was what introduced me to the talented Sara Bareilles and just as this song was written about being hooked on someone who you can’t shake…I can’t shake the emotions that I feel behind these lyrics. Click here to read my previous post about Sara Bareillas.
